An introduction

We frequently receive objects kindly donated by the public that fall within our collecting policy. These help us to fill in the gaps in our collections. Many of these will be used for research by future generations, or form a part of our displays, whilst others help us to provide schools and other groups with the chance to handle and examine more closely things they might not otherwise see.
